On 21 October, the Riga Jewish Community and the Museum “Jews in Latvia” in cooperation with the Association of History and Social Studies Teachers organised a further education seminar for teachers “The Latvian Jewish Heritage in the Teaching Process. The importance of memories”.

The seminar participants were introduced to the memories and interviews in the collection of the Museum “Jews in Latvia” , teacher and museum educator Danute Grīnfelde shared her experience, and a discussion was held on “Memories in historical communication: how they help and hinder”.

Participants also had the opportunity to be the first to learn more about the community’s book “I would like to become something. Diaries of Latvian Jewish Girls. 1934-1941”, as well as virtually participate in the tour “(Jewish) Art Nouveau Stories”.

The project is co-financed by the Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Riga City Council within the framework of the Public Integration Programme.
