Žanis Lipke Memorial to the Rescuers of Jews (Mazais Balasta dambis 9) opened an exhibition about the return to Latvia, called “Home. Stories about Return”.

The exhibition is located in the Memorial’s basement, right next to an exhibition by renowned American artist with Latvian roots, Boris Lurie. The museum has excellent guides who will take you not only through the exhibitions, but through the whole Memorial, treating you to a coffee and tea if you like.

Next year, all of the exhibit material will be digitalised, allowing you to see it from anywhere in the world. Until then, take the opportunity and visit the museum to see the photos with your own eyes and hear the stories of the twelve people who decided to return from various countries to their homeland, Latvia!

All stories are accompanied with photographs by Rolands Krutovs and video footage by Artis Bangieris, and the interviews were transcribed and translated by Anta Antsverina. Based on the stories, a documentary will be made very soon.
