The Memorial Synagogue Garden in Bauska awarded 2nd place in the prestigious competition “Latvian Construction of the Year Award 2017” (Latvijas Būvniecības gada balva 2017) in the public space nomination. The creation of the memorial on the site of the synagogue burnt in 1941 was carried out by the Council of Jewish Communities of Latvia in cooperation with the sculptor Girts Burvis.
