This school year more than 120 schoolchildren visited the Museum “Jews in Latvia”! As part of the Latvijas skolas soma programme, 6 school groups visited the museum and memorial sites with their teachers and took part in online meetings, while museum teachers came to schools to teach thematic lessons.
Groups participated in classes on ‘Cultural Diversity and Stereotypes’, ‘My Genealogy’, ‘Famous Personalities – Jews before World War II’, and in the interactive walk ‘Jugendstil Stories’.
We are proud that the schedule for October is full! This week and next, the museum is expecting groups of schoolchildren for a class on “Jewish Traditions and Holidays,” during which there will be a conversation about Jewish and universal values.
