On October 10, the photo exhibition “My neighbor Jew” opened in the Green Synagogue in Rezekne, which is a visual continuation of the musical and documentary performance of the Rezekne theater “Yorik”, which could be seen this summer.
The exhibition presents portraits of our contemporaries Jews living in Rezekne, and reproductions of photographs from family albums of Jews of Rezekne origin living abroad. The author of the portraits photographer Andris Ushkans created photographs using a special technique that allows viewers to feel the passage of time and to combine the past and the present.
The exhibition at the Green Synagogue can be seen until the end of October. Then it will be exhibited in Ludza and Daugavpils.
